CELL SYSTEM
1. CELLS AT LHMC
· All members of LHMC are put into cells.
· Cells meet twice a month (exception: LCEC cell)
2. CELL LEADERSHIP
· Pr Patrick is in charge of cells. Priscilla Yong and Sally Lim help him coordinate the 3
Mandarin cells.
· Cell leaders are appointed by Pastor and by Pr Patrick
3. TYPES OF CELLS
a. BASIC TRACK CELLS: will focus on four agendas:
• Pastoral care: sharing and prayer take place at least once a month at the cells. Cell leaders maintain contact with members (via phone or email if the member is not attending the cell meetings) care for members (praying for them etc,) and disseminate information/recruitment thrusts/ prayer chain details etc, Fellowship meals are also encouraged,
• Outreach: each cell has a territorial commitment (in Tampines or Changi or Simei) and every one in the cell is briefed on the ‘oikos’ booklet (ie identifying someone to bring to Christ this year). Prayer walks, drives, familiarization with their territory through meals at that area, meals or events with the ‘targetted’ pre-believers etc, fall under this category
• Accountability: accountability questions printed on cards are used by all cell members once a month.
• Input: A list of books and videos are given to cell members. The cell can choose any one of these to study and discuss during their meetings.
Note: Chin Chia Hoe is an English speaking Hokkien cell. Baba Black Sheep is a Peranakan cell. However, cell membership is not limited to Hokkiens or Peranakans .
b. DISCIPLESHIP CELLS will be working on the “JESUS THE RADICAL” Bible Study plus some Basic Cell work
c. “STREET” CLEANSING STREAM CELLS: This will focus on the Cleansing Stream agenda but it will be taught using powerpoints and a mix of English, Hokkien, Mandarin, Malay, Singlish.
d. CHINESE MINISTRY CELLS and Youth/Young Adults Ministries: Agenda more specifically tailored to needs of the groups.
